Giorgio Olivero

Giorgio Olivero co-founded the Torino based interaction design studio ToDo in 2007. At ToDo he takes care of creative direction, answering phone calls and emptying ashtrays (he recently reapplied for an internship in the studio).
In 2004, he graduated from the Masters programme in Interaction Design from the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea (Italy).
While struggling with a daily dose of weapons of mass distraction, ToDo enjoys designing near-future projects today. The studio cultivates an high sense of pride in building ad hoc computational tools and fosters an hands-on approach to designing with technology.
ToDo didn't earn any important international design award and this is likely to occur until they'll bother to submit some work. Despite their reluctant efforts, their projects appeared in more than one international design publication.

2009, Prototyping and Physical Computing course. Teacher. (Masters in Design for Communication Environments, University of Siena, Italy).
2009, Post-industrial design workshop. Co-facilitator with Massimo Menichinelli. (I Realize conference, Turin, Italy).
2008, Generation Random, tutor in the workshop run by Lust studio (Icograda Design Week, Turin, Italy).
2007, Touchdown, D.I.Y. physical computing game controller workshop. Co-teacher with Yaniv Steiner (Building Interactive Playground Festival, Florence, Italy).
2005, Instant SOUP, co-author. A "learning by making" web-platform to introduce designers to electronic prototyping in a playful, non-technical way. (Interaction Design Institute Ivrea, Italy).
2005, Mattel Corporation Workshop, physical computing workshop tutor. (Interaction Design Institute Ivrea, Italy).
